Carol is a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP), a graduate of the Music For Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). The instrument which she uses for therapeutic music is the harp, using a small harp that can be played at the bedside of the patient in medical facilities or in homes. MHTP is a national training program with the mission of training musicians to play therapeutic music at the bedside of patients in medical facilities, nursing homes, and hospices. Carol also is a member of the Board of Directors of MHTP, and a teacher for the organization. You may learn more about MHTP at the following website: www.mhtp.org. Currently Carol works as a contractor at Montefiore Hospice in Beachwood, as well as being available for private individuals to hire to play for loved ones.

Carol will come to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, cancer centers, hospices, your homes, or you can go to her treatment office. To schedule an appointment, contact her at: 330-929-4478, caroljspears@cs.com

Therapeutic Harp: Our Universe is made of energy, including  sound waves. Music is one type of sound therapy, which has been used for physical healing and spiritual growth  for thousands of years  by most human cultures. The clarity, purity, and beauty of the harp are among the most soothing, healing sounds that humans can create.

Medical studies have shown the beneficial effects of music on, for example, lowering blood pressure, stabilizing heart beat, lowering heart rate, reducing the need for pain medication, helping calm Alzheimer’s patients, and providing a supportive environment for dying patients and their families. Harp music can help you meditate and connect with your inner self for your own healing, like no other means.

Music without words means leaving behind the mind. And leaving behind the mind is meditation. Meditation returns you to the source. And the source of all is sound.
